Lovely stay with spacious and comfortable rooms. The buffet-style meals offered a wide selection and the Hida Beef was a treat. The onsen provided a magical experience with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. I highly recommend this hotel.

I recently stayed at this luxurious 4-star hotel and was truly impressed with all it had to offer. Located on a hillside overlooking the town, the views from this place were absolutely breathtaking. The shuttle service provided made it easy for me to explore the main area of the town, while still being able to retreat to the peacefulness of this hillside location. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, ensuring a comfortable stay. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, with the housekeeping staff doing an excellent job. I especially appreciated the free Wi-Fi in the rooms, making it convenient for me to stay connected during my stay.
This place is highly recommended for families looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay in a beautiful location.

The staff were helpful and very polite. The breakfast buffet had an excellent variety of western and Japanese foods. The availiablity of the shuttle to the train station/town and return was excellent as we did not have a car.

The cool efficiency. The attractive setting on the hillside. The breakfast was not elaborate but well presented and wholesome with a western and Eastern mix.
Our room seemed a little musty and on the small side. The very slight smell became unnoticeable after a minute or so. And, after 3 days wasn't noticed atall. We suspect that the room hadn't been used for a while and needed to be aired.

The facilities in the resort were great and we had access to a traditional Japanese spa that was a real treat. The view from our room was breathtaking, overlooking the city and the beautiful surrounding mountains. It was also very convenient that the resort had different restaurants and even a ramen restaurant where we could have a unique experience trying local cuisine.
The location of the resort was quite a downside, since it was far from the main road and the city center, making it necessary to take a taxi to eat out or explore the area. the coordination for breakfast could be improved, as we had some issues with timing and waiting outside.

Very luxurious comfortable hotel with excellent staff. Very good shuttle bus service to Takayama.
The breakfast was adequate but could have had a better range of bread and some cheese.

The hot baths, the size of the guest rooms, the views
The location was not great - it wasn't remote enough to feel special but it wasn't close enough to the town to feel part of it. We were dependent on the hotel's shuttle bus which got kind of boring after a few days. The buffet breakfast was not very good quality (I'm judging the Western food only, not the Japanese). Poor coffee. The dining options at the hotel were very expensive and mainly set price so there wasn't much flexibility to eat as and when we wanted to (bearing in mind we were travelling with a little one). I would have liked more information in the guest rooms or at least at reception about what to do in the local area.

We spent our Christmas holiday at a hotel located uphill, which gave us an amazing view of the city. The room was cozy, comfortable and clean. The hotel provided us with a free shuttle service which made up for its distance from the city center. We enjoyed a diverse buffet and the meals were appetizing. The hotel staff spoke English, which made it easier for us to communicate during our stay.
The hotel room had a shower over the bath, which was inconvenient and a bit uncomfortable. , the gift shop offered limited supplies and drinks.

We had a wonderful stay at a grand hotel in Takayama. The rooms were huge and expansive, with beautiful views of the snow-covered village. The hotel's shuttle service made it easy to get around, and the free luggage delivery was a convenient perk. The onsen was also a highlight, providing a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel.

Spacious rooms, clean, good beds. Delicious breakfast with variety. Large and well-designed spa. Convenient shuttle bus service.
Nothing to fault.

The resort is located outside the city and has shuttle buses operating till 9 pm. The onsen is clean and enjoyable with facilities like yukata and tea or coffee in the room. The staff is friendly, and the breakfast is delicious with Japanese-style cuisine. The courtyard and decoration are beautiful, and the rooms are comfortable and clean with a stunning view of the town.
It lacks a cocktail bar or a place to drink in the evening.
